The post holder will be involved in all aspects of the assessment process and will be a fully integrated member of our friendly and welcoming multidisciplinary team, working alongside our Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Mental Health Practitioners, Psychiatrist, Assistant Psychologists, and Support Worker.
The role includes: using high-level assessment, observation, and formulation skills to assess for Autism and ADHD; utilizing formal testing measures such as ADOS and QB test to understand a child's presentation; writing diagnostic assessment reports; supervising other clinicians; and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings and complex decision-making. As a senior clinician, the post holder will also offer clinical leadership and support service development and improvements.
We are looking for a Senior Neurodevelopmental Practitioner to join the Kirklees multi-agency Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. The team offers evidence-based diagnostic assessments aligned with NICE guidance for children and young people under 18 with concerns regarding Autism or ADHD. This role suits those with significant experience in neurodevelopmental assessments, who enjoy using their assessment and observation skills to formulate complex presentations and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will conduct assessments, provide clinical leadership, supervision, advice, and support to colleagues, and assist in service development.
