Our client, a leading brand retail activation agency based in Berkshire, are now looking for a Director of Social & Influencer Marketing to join their talented agency

The Director of Social & Influencer Marketing will lead their in-house social media & influencer team. This is a senior leadership role responsible for embedding social and influencer marketing as a centre of excellence within their client offering. You will play a pivotal role in integrating social and influencer strategies into their retail and experiential campaigns, ensuring that they're seen as a leading force in social-first creativity and influencer-led brand storytelling.
The role will be measured on:
* Growth across existing clients – expanding their remit and performance.
* New business development – winning new clients and creating opportunities for revenue growth.
* Team leadership & motivation – inspiring, developing, and managing a high-performing social & influencer team.
Essential accountabilities: Client Relations, Commercial Development & Expertise
* Lead social:
Define and execute the vision for their in-house social & influencer agency, establishing it as a recognised and trusted partner for clients.
* Strategic leadership:
Develop innovative, insight-led social and influencer strategies that unlock creative potential and deliver measurable results.
* Client growth:
Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients (particularly across beauty and lifestyle sectors), acting as a senior advisor and shaping long-term partnerships.
* New business development:
Work with the Head of Client Development to identify, pitch, and win new business opportunities across social & influencer marketing.
* Platform & influencer expertise:
Apply deep knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Lead influencer strategies across creators, ambassadors, affiliate programs, and partnerships, ensuring ROI and brand impact.
Leadership & Team Development:
* Team management:
Inspire, motivate, and manage the team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
* Capability building:
Mentor, train, and upskill team members to ensure they stay ahead of industry developments and deliver exceptional client work.
* Cross-functional integration:
Champion collaboration with Client Development, Creative, Marketing, and Cultural Insight teams, embedding social & influencer as a seamless part of their offering.
* Campaign oversight:
Ensure flawless execution of social & influencer campaigns, including paid and organic social, creator management, and performance reporting.
* Commercial focus:
Maintain strong budget management, profitability, and resource efficiency across projects.
Essential:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in social media, influencer marketing, and client services, ideally within an agency environment.
* Proven success in

* Experience working with beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecast growth, and deliver profitable solutions.
* Expert knowledge of key social platforms and influencer ecosystems.
* Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience building, leading, and motivating a team.
* Ability to design and deliver social & influencer training, thought leadership, or internal upskilling programs.
