About the Role
Shape the future of AI in Chemistry
This innovative role as an AI Trainer - Chemistry offers a unique opportunity to leverage your subject-matter expertise and develop your AI skills. You will play a pivotal role in training AI models, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of Chemistry content generated by AI. This position offers flexible scheduling, and your contributions will directly impact the advancement of AI in Chemistry.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Educate AI: Analyze and provide feedback on AI-generated outputs related to Chemistry. Your guidance will directly improve the AI's accuracy and its ability to apply knowledge to real-world problems.
2. Problem Solving: Use your expertise to provide step-by-step solutions and explanations to complex Chemistry problems, such as balancing equations, reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and organic chemistry analysis. Your input will help teach the AI reasoning skills.
3. Red Teaming: Utilize your deep understanding of Chemistry to identify potential biases, limitations, or inaccuracies in the AI's knowledge base. Design and conduct tests to ensure the model's outputs are reliable and applicable.
4. Flexible Work Hours: Create your own working hours based on project needs.
About You
* Enrolled in or have completed an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
* Specialized in Chemistry or related fields such as Analytical, Biochemistry, Inorganic, Organic, Physical, Environmental, Materials, Medicinal, Theoretical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
* Possess excellent English writing skills with a critical eye for clarity and articulation.
* Experience in research, journalism, technical writing, editing, or similar roles.
* Interest in AI and machine learning concepts.
Additional Information
This is a freelance, hourly-paid position, not an internship. Candidates must be authorized to work in their country; sponsorship is not provided. International students on valid visas may apply, but specific circumstances should be discussed with an advisor. We cannot provide employment documentation at this time. Compensation rates vary by location.
Pay Range: $15 - $150 USD per hour
Work Environment
We support a remote-friendly hybrid model, emphasizing collaboration within our tech hubs in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro Area, and Wrocław, Poland. We promote asynchronous communication, autonomy, and ownership of tasks, complemented by hub-based gatherings.
