This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a leadership role within a forward-thinking local authority committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The Role: The Senior Social Worker will play a key role in supporting a team of social care professionals, providing expert supervision, guidance, and oversight. The successful candidate will manage a complex caseload, lead service improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of best practice across the team. Key responsibilities include: Supervising and mentoring qualified and unqualified staff. Leading on service development and quality assurance activities. Delivering holistic, strength-based assessments and interventions. Representing the council in multi-agency forums and panels. Supporting safeguarding procedures and lone working protocols. Staying informed on legislative changes and ensuring team compliance. Candidate Requirements: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England. Minimum of 2-3 years' post-qualifying experience in adult social care. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and care models. Proven experience in supervision, case management, and service development. Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. Desirable: Practice Educator, Best Interest Assessor, or AMHP qualifications.
