Yard & Driver Vacancy – Heckmondwike
Raskelf Group, a leading manufacturer of quality products for the leisure industry are looking for a dedicated Yard Person & Driver to join our team at our Heckmondwike site.
The Role
As a Yard & Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our site. You'll be responsible for ensuring the yard and grounds are kept clean and tidy, adhering to all health and safety policies, and assisting with various tasks to support our production and delivery teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Following all Health & Safety policies for the yard and FLTs.
* Always maintain clean and tidy work areas.
* Complete pre-use checks on equipment at the start of each shift.
* Keeping the yard and grounds clean daily.
* Collecting and disposing of factory waste into the correct skips or recycling areas.
* Repairing or dismantling broken pallets.
* Assisting the goods out teams with deliveries using our transport fleet.
* Supporting the packing department during busy periods.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who is committed to a high standard of work. You must have:
* A valid Counterbalance FLT Licence.
* A full UK Driving Licence.
* A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
* The ability to work efficiently and independently.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
