Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
3. Manage global professional indemnity insurance renewals and liaise with insurers and brokers on new and ongoing claims.
4. Handle claims and complaints in the EU region, advise on insurance coverage issues, and instruct external counsel where needed.
5. Monitor and report on risk trends, compliance breaches, and complaints, ensuring timely escalation to senior management.
6. Support fee recovery in disputed cases and assist with global declarations, technology implementation, and compliance projects.
7. Provide guidance on professional conduct obligations, update compliance policies, and deliver firm-wide training.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate would have:
8. Qualified solicitor or experienced Insurance Claims Handler with expertise in complex complaints and PII notifications.
9. Strong knowledge of the SRA Handbook and Codes of Conduct; familiarity with PI insurance market desirable.
10. Experience in policy drafting, implementation, and delivering training preferred.
11. Commercially minded, proactive, and able to manage workload and drive projects independently.
12. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels.
