Tesco Colleague - Customer Service Desk - Chesterfield Extra

Responsibilities
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
* Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
* Putting into practice training to work safely, effectively and to serve customers brilliantly.
* Dealing with customer complaints and feedback professionally, always aiming to leave customers happy.
* Accurately recording customer details and treating information confidentially.
* Carrying out safe and legal checks on the desk you are trained for, and reporting next steps to the Shift Leader/Team Manager.
* Recording and disposing of waste responsibly, following food waste and recycling routines.
* Recording and processing returned items from customers.
* Signing in visitors and ensuring awareness of health, safety and fire procedures.
* Controlling keys stored at the desk correctly.
* Liaising with Shift Leaders, Managers and Security, communicating clearly.
* Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Working across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
* Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
* Being yourself, living Tesco values, making everyone feel welcome and following policies.

Availability and Hours
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if desired. Availability windows are scheduled with 3 weeks' notice for shifts. Flexibility is supported if your available times closely match the advertised windows.
Compensation and Benefits
* Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 per hour; increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
* Holiday entitlement starting at 20 days plus a personal day rising to 22 days after 12 months (plus Bank holidays).
* 10% off and 15% at pay day weekends with Colleague Clubcard; life cover and a pension with matching contributions up to 7.5%.
