Key Responsibilities: Lead on the engagement with local members and parish councils Develop schemes from feasibility to detailed design Secure project scopes through Working Groups Prepare design briefs and ensure stakeholder support Commission, instruct, and manage consultant design engineers Commission and instruct all Road Safety Audits and surveys Perform technical design reviews and make necessary alterations Prepare work packs including PCI's and all CDM requirements Prepare tender documents and respond to clarifications and technical queries Finalise procurements, award contracts, and write RoODs Ensure governance and decision-making processes are followed Develop communications plans for scheme delivery Raise all required highway permits Coordinate works with Network Management Supervise the delivery of highway works on-site Facilitate the mobilisation of contractors and ensure effective handover for construction start Supervise construction and sign off on completed works Control records and store as-built drawings Job Requirements: Experience in highway engineering Understanding of highway standards and guidance Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate with various stakeholders Proficiency in preparing design briefs and tender documents Experience in commissioning Road Safety Audits and surveys Ability to conduct technical reviews and oversee modifications Knowledge of CDM requirements ...
