Project Manager (Contract) – Design & Build

Rate: £350–£400 per day (umbrella), depending on experience
Contract length: Until March 2027
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
We are working with a well-established organisation within the Property & Built Environment sector who are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a portfolio of design and build projects .
This is a hands-on delivery role, suited to a Project Manager who is confident managing projects end-to-end and coordinating multiple stakeholders across design and construction phases.
The Role
* Lead design and build projects from concept through to completion
* Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors
* Manage project programmes, budgets, risk, change control and reporting
* Coordinate design development alongside construction delivery to ensure alignment
* Ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality, time and cost parameters
* Oversee compliance with relevant regulations, building standards and best practice
* Support commissioning, handover and close-out activities
Required Experience & Background
* Bachelor’s degree in Project / Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
* Minimum 5 years’ project management experience within design-build or integrated delivery environments
* Professional certification such as RICS, CIOB or equivalent (preferred)
* Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes and design processes
* Proven experience using project management software (e.g. MS Project, Asta)
* Exposure to BIM environments and collaborative delivery models
