Job Description
To work alongside the property department and reporting into an accounting supervisor, as part of the wider global Property and accounts teams, based at the groups head office in Shirebrook, Notts. This sub-team will focus on and take ownership of the IFRS 16 account standard.
The role is new and has been made available by recent significant acquisitions, integrations and accounting standards.
The candidate will be involved in processing accounting entries for all of our subsidiaries.
Job role includes, but not limited to:
* Ensure completion of month-end processes within deadline.
* Maintaining global property databases
* Analysing prepayments and accruals against a budget.
* To identify potential error’s and create monthly reports against accounting standards.
* Ad-hoc project analysis and reporting
* Support multiple departments across the business.
* To work with external consultants on implementation of systems and improvements
Qualifications
* Minimum 1/2 year’s experience in a related role within a finance function
* Working towards/ambitions of completing one of ACCA/CIMA (study support provided)
* Hard working and willingness to learn is essential
* Minimum intermediate excel skills and be confident with formula’s
* Organised and determined to succeed
