Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School Location: Crewe, Cheshire Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Supply Daily Rate: £90 - £100 (dependent on experience and qualifications) Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive Secondary School in Crewe, who are looking to appoint a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SEN department to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including: Mild to moderate learning difficulties Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs You will be: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Helping to adapt classroom materials to meet individual needs Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies Monitoring pupil progress and reporting back to teaching staff The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience supporting children or young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting Be confident working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour Be patient, empathetic, and flexible in their approach Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
