Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to individuals in need, including seniors and those with special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
- Implement behavior management techniques for clients with challenging behaviors
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is required
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and compassion
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged standing
- Knowledge of assisted living or nursing home regulations and procedures
