Protocol Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Southend. You’ll be part of a dedicated team working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the role:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Helping to manage behaviour and encourage engagement in learning
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Working alongside experienced staff in a collaborative environment
What we’re looking for:
* A positive, resilient and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
* Experience is beneficial but not essential – the right mindset is key
The details:
* Full-time, long-term position
* Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
* Based in Southend
