Interim SENCO - Primary Contract: January - Easter Hours: Preferably full-time, but part-time applications are welcome. We are supporting a Primary School in the East Midlands to appoint an experienced Interim SENCO from January through to Easter ! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupil support and inclusion during a key part of the academic year. What you'll be doing: In this role, you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school, ensuring that all pupils with additional needs receive high-quality support. Working closely with teachers, support staff, external agencies, and families, you will ensure personalised plans and interventions are well-managed and effective. Oversee and manage SEND provision throughout the school. Maintain and update SEND records, provision maps, and EHCP documentation. Coordinate and deliver appropriate interventions. Work with class teachers to support inclusive practice. Liaise with parents, carers, and outside professionals. Support the school’s strategic vision for inclusion and pupil progress. What we're looking for: Qualified teacher with SENCO qualification (or significant SENCO experience). Strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively, lead confidently, and build positive relationships. Proactive, organised, and committed to promoting inclusive learning.
