Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist our Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. Duties:
* Plan and execute menus according to our restaurant's concept and standards
* Prepare and cook dishes following recipes and portion sizes
* Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet our standards
* Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
* Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and safety procedures
* Collaborate with management on new menu items and specials
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
* Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
* Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a team
* Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed-term contract
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 - 55 per week
Additional pay includes bonus scheme, loyalty bonus, and tips.
