Typical Activities

* Responding to technical support requests via email, phone or ticketing system
* Providing advanced troubleshooting and resolving customer incidents
* Fulfilling service requests and provisioning hardware
* Supporting the Major Incident and Problem Management processes
* Creating and maintaining user guides and internal documentation
* Collaborating with other teams to drive incident resolution
* Assisting in inter-team knowledge sharing and workload alignment
* Delivering training and support to other Service Desk team members
* Communicating service issues and updates to management
* Supporting service delivery excellence across the business

What we're looking for

* Experience with Windows and Linux desktop environments
* Good understanding of IT networks
* Proficiency with ITSM tools such as Jira, Freshdesk or ServiceNow
* Experience using knowledge systems like Confluence or SharePoint
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
* Excellent communication skills, face-to-face and online
* Experience in a Service Desk or similar support environment
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise effectively
* Experience working with secure communications environments
* Familiarity with Unix systems
* Knowledge of Wi-Fi networking
* ITIL Foundation or equivalent knowledge

Qualifications & Eligibility

To be eligible for this position you must:

* Have relevant experience in an Service Desk or technical support role, OR have a degree in a relevant field; and,
* Be a British citizen; and
* Hold or be eligible for UK National Security Vetting (NSV) – DV level clearance.
