Responsibilities of Head Chef
Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team
Plan menus and daily specials with a focus on quality, consistency, and profitability
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety (HACCP)
Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Control food costs and reduce waste
Ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy services
Uphold and develop the pub’s food reputation

Proven experience as a Head Chef
Solid background in fresh, pub-style food
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Calm under pressure in a busy service environment
Good understanding of GP margins, stock control, and kitchen admin
