Salary & Overtime
Salary: £23.50 an hour
Overtime: £35.25 an hour
Shifts
Tues‑day to Saturday shifts: 17:00 – 01:00 (Sundays 06:00 – 14:00)
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications: PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance and repair (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent); 5+ years of relevant hands‑on experience accepted if not formally qualified.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- PCV licence preferred; otherwise willingness to obtain.
- Medical fitness: able to pass a PCV pre‑employment medical.
- Commitment to quality: a passion for delivering safe, reliable, and high‑quality maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned and preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on a fleet of commercial buses.
- Ensure that all vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
- Assist with MOT preparation, preventive maintenance campaigns, and quality checks.
- Improve bus reliability through continuous monitoring, maintenance, and repair.
