Regional Manager/Responsible Individual, Preston Area Lancashire
Salary up to £75k per annum plus bonus dependent upon experience
* We require an Area Manager Based across Preston with Responsible Individual responsibilities for 4 X EBD Ofsted registered children's homes
* The role will be available from mid-July 2025, phone screenings and formal interviews are likely to commence ASAP
* The ideal candidate will have experience as an Ofsted Responsible Individual.
* We will also consider experienced RMs stepping up, who can evidence a good track record with Ofsted and that they're ready to make that step. All candidates must have experience in Management in Ofsted children's homes and must be able to evidence this through providing URNs and Ofsted reports, with them named as RM or RI
* Ideally you will spend 1 day/week in each home and 1 day from home.( Can be discussed)
Key Responsibilities of Regional Manager/Responsible Individual
• To fulfil the role of Responsible Individual for the homes in the region.
• To provide strong leadership and direction to support the operations of the homes
• To ensure that the strategic mission, values, objectives, and ethos of the Organisation are implemented throughout the services in a timely manner and to budget.
• To develop and sustain effective and productive relationship/partnerships with all external agencies and professional bodies.
• To ensure that all services are provided to the highest standard and in a manner that promotes a culture of continuous development/improvement and strives to secure best outcomes for all children and young people.
• To balance quality care services with commercial realities of a profit-making company.
• To ensure each child and young person has the opportunity to attend qualitative education consistent with the requirements of the DfE and each children's home meets the standards and expectations contained in its Statement of Purpose.
• To ensure that company policy and procedures are adhered to and that there are systems in place to monitor the administration of each home's affairs and the effective use of resources.
• To ensure that each establishment is maintained to a high standard in line with Health and Safety requirements so that staff and young people can live and work in safe and comfortable environments.
• This role requires extensive and updated knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation.
Successful candidates for Regional Manager and RI will need to possess the following:
* You must have a minimum of 2 years’ in a senior position within a residential childcare setting.RM or RI
* Hold a QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma.
* Hold a minimum Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent.
* Experience in Managing, leading and supervising a team within a Residential Child Care setting.
* Full UK Manual Driving License
