Are you a patient, nurturing and motivated practitioner with a passion for supporting learners with complex needs?
The Governing Body of Idris Davies School 3–18 is seeking to appoint three enthusiastic and dedicated SNRB LSAs — one in our Primary Phase and two in our Secondary Phase — to join our brand‑new Specialist Resource Base provision. As one of the first 3–18 schools in Wales, we pride ourselves on collaboration, inclusivity and giving every pupil – every opportunity – every day.
You’ll be joining a forward‑thinking team at a pivotal moment in our development. Our three new SNRB classes will support learners with a broad range of complex learning needs in small, well‑resourced environments, each led by a class teacher and supported by skilled LSAs. As an LSA, you will play a central role in delivering personalised programmes, supporting pupils’ wellbeing, and helping shape a nurturing, high‑quality provision from its very beginning.
We Offer:
âś… A highly inclusive school community with a strong track record of supporting vulnerable learners.
✅ Purpose‑built specialist environments across both phases, including sensory rooms, intervention areas and outdoor learning spaces.
âś… A comprehensive professional learning programme with opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.
âś… A collaborative and experienced ALN team led by an ALNCo and Deputy ALNCo.
✅ The chance to contribute to an ambitious, supportive and child‑centred provision.
We welcome applications from LSAs with experience in ALN settings, as well as those who demonstrate compassion, resilience, adaptability and a willingness to learn. Some pupils may require intimate care, so candidates must be willing and confident to support this aspect of the role.
