Homelessness Lawyer

Sellick Partnership is proud to be recruiting for a Housing Homelessness Lawyer for a well-respected Local Authority based in Yorkshire.
The key responsibilities of the Homelessness Lawyer will include:
* Comprehensive understanding of the statutory responsibilities for local authorities in relation to Homelessness duties
* Handling legal challenges from homeless applicants, advocates, and representatives
* Providing support and advice to Team Leaders and Duty Managers in cases where legal challenges are escalated
* Preparing correspondence (electronic and hard copy as appropriate) to respond to legal challenges
* Handling telephone enquiries from applicants, advocates, and legal representatives as appropriate
This is a full-time, project-based role for 8 months. Candidates with previous experience working in a local authority dealing with homelessness cases are strongly encouraged to apply.
