The Role: What You Will Be Doing
As a Secondary Classroom Supervisor, your primary focus will be classroom management and ensuring a safe, focused learning environment. You will be responsible for:
* Supervising students in the absence of the class teacher.
* Delivering pre-prepared work (no planning required for daily supply).
* Managing student behaviour effectively, adhering to school policies.
* Collecting completed work and ensuring the classroom is tidy.
* Establishing positive working relationships with students and staff across the Preston area.
What We Look for in a Candidate
To excel in this Classroom Supervisor role, you must demonstrate:
* Proven experience working with young people (aged 11-16) or in a coaching/educational setting.
* Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and reliability for daily bookings.
* A professional and flexible approach to working in different schools across Preston.
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
