You will have to work hard, manage daily tasks and keep our brilliant team members motivated. You will need to ensure that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Company guidelines throughout the day, adopting the company`s clean as you go (CAYG) philosophy. Of course there will be a lot for you to learn but we are confident with the right attitude, commitment and training you will have the opportunity to succeed. As hotel manager, you will ensure the delivery of these standards and the smooth running of all aspects of the management function, including stock ordering and hitting financial targets. Marketing the hotel for greater sales and higher occupancy is required and you will be expected to form links with local businesses and tourist information points. To keep a close eye on standards, regular checks should be made to rooms and you will implement regular hotel and pub management meetings. Occasional overnight work will be required and you will carry out risk assessments and other health and safety checks to ensure customer safety in all areas. Managing staffing and recruitment levels will be crucial to the smooth running of the business, so you will play an active role in search and selection activities and the training and development of your team. This will extend to the day-to-day performance and attendance of staff, and maintaining personnel and training files. Professional and well presented, you should have strong leadership and people management skills to complement your excellent customer service focus. The ability to communicate with people at all levels is essential, and you should also be self-motivated and able to bring a high level of enthusiasm to everything you do. With experience of managing standards and processes, you should be calm under pressure and adaptable to change. You will also need to have a fixed place of residence reasonably close to the pub and have proof of right to work in the uk.
