Our Water Services team clean water to the highest standard, deliver it to millions of homes, and carefully manage it to ensure it never runs out. We borrow water from the environment, storeitand treat it to world-class standards to supply safe drinking water to 4.3 million customers in towns and villages from Grimsby in the northeast of our region to Milton Keynes at the south-western tip.
AsProduction Planning Implementation Lead, you will be accountable for leading the implementation,readinessand enablement of Production Plans across the water supply system. Acting as the bridge between Production Planning and Operational Control, you will ensure that production plans, system changes,technologiesand methodologies are translated into clear,system readyactions that can be safely and effectively adopted by control teams.
You will playa central rolein enabling the move from reactive to proactive, increasingly automated andsystem ledoperation, with a clear focus on readiness, integration,assuranceand risk management rather thanreal-timecontrol.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the translation of agreed Production Plans into executable,system readyimplementation actions
2. Own the implementation readiness process, including validation of assumptions, dependencies, systemimpactsand risks
3. Establish clearhand-offpoints between Production Planning, implementationactivityand Operational Control
4. Act as the focal point for integration of new and existing control systems,technologiesand methodologies
5. Lead assurance activities to ensure changes do not introduce unacceptable risk to customers, regulation, theenvironment,or system resilience
6. Set and embed principles,standards,and best practice for production plan implementation
7. Collaborate with planning, frontline,engineering,and digital teams to managecapacity impactingworks
8. Support and help develop a Centre of Excellence for Proactive Controllers, including workshops,standards,and training
Requirements
9. Strong and proven leadership capability
10. Extensive operational experience within the water industry
11. In-depthknowledge of water production control systems and control assets
12. Experience leading withinhigh performing,data drivenoperational teams
13. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical implementation guidance
14. Strong communicationskills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
15. Degree leveleducation or equivalent experience (desirable)
