Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Wellbeing in the Vale of Glamorgan is recruiting for a 2-day Complex Cases Manager to oversee the ALN team in conducting its statutory functions in relation to the ALN Act 2018 and the ALN Code. The role involves overseeing the ALN Dispute Resolution process and working on legal cases and complaints. The department has an excellent track record and maintains good relationships with schools in the Vale of Glamorgan. This is an exciting time of change, with new systems being implemented and developed to achieve better and more personalised outcomes for children and young people.

About The Role
Pay Details: Grade 11, SCP 40-43, £49,764 - £52,805 per annum (Pro Rata)
Hours of Work: 14.8 hours
Working Pattern: 2 days per week
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices and remote home working
Description: To provide leadership and support for the ALN case work team and ALN support staff.
About You
You will need:
* Experience of leading a team, liaising with colleagues, professionals, and parents. Experience in dispute resolution and educational tribunal processes/legal work.
* Knowledge of ALN and ALNET, ICT packages.
* Good administrative, communication, and leadership skills.
