Wellbeing Assistant

We’re looking for a caring and organised Wellbeing Assistant to join Amplius on a part time, 6 month fixed term contract. You’ll plan and deliver two weekly Activity Days for older people, creating engaging sessions that reduce social isolation and promote mental wellbeing, ensuring customers feel welcome, included and connected.
Salary: £8,432.89 per year
Contract: Part time, 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 12.5 hours per week – Thursday 6.5 hours, Friday 6 hours
Location: Thursdays at our Clophill scheme, Fridays at our Sandy scheme
Snapshot of your role
* Plan and deliver two engaging, high-quality Activity Days each week, creating a welcoming, home-from-home environment with activities such as music, arts and crafts, games, quizzes, puzzles, reminiscence and light exercise.
* Maintain accurate attendance and activity records, contribute to service improvements and explore opportunities to support digital inclusion.
* Build positive relationships with customers, volunteers and support networks, offering signposting to local and online services.
* Support the smooth running of sessions, including preparing refreshments and a basic midday meal, overseeing volunteers and setting up and clearing away.
* Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures, maintain professional boundaries and promote inclusion, equality and diversity.
What we’re looking for
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive Activity Days for customers with varied needs.
* Empathy and understanding for customers with health or mobility challenges.
* Flexible team player who can also work on their own initiative.
* Creative approach to delivering fun, varied and culturally relevant activities.
A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
