SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: DY3 (Dudley)
Pay Rate: £105 - £115 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term with the potential to go permanent

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Long Term Futures are working with a 'Good' Ofsted-rated primary school in DY3 seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with Autism (ASD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and non-verbal children. Candidates with knowledge of Makaton, PECs and other communication strategies are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to children with SEN
Use Makaton and PECs to aid communication and understanding
Support children with ASD, SLCN and non-verbal needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver individualised learning plans
Promote independence, confidence, and positive emotional regulation in pupils
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environmentCandidate Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within a school setting
Knowledge and practical use of Makaton and PECs
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SLCN, and non-verbal communication needs
A calm, patient and empathetic approach
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Relevant TA qualification or SEN experience is desirableWhy Join This School?
