Foundation Learning Lecturer (SEND)
Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Hours: 15 hours per week (Mondays & Wednesdays, 7.5 hours per day)
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Foundation Learning Lecturer (SEND) to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to learner needs
* Support students in developing essential skills, independence, and confidence
* Adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning abilities and requirements
* Monitor, assess, and record learner progress effectively
* Work collaboratively with support staff and wider teaching teams
* Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Essential Requirements:
* A valid teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
* Experience working with SEND learners in an educational setting
* Experience working within Foundation Learning and/or SEND provision
* Strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Enhanced DBS certificate covering both adults and children
* Must be on the Update Service OR issued within the last 3 months
