An established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit a full-time Supported Housing Officer based in the Hatfield area on a temporary to permanent basis to support young homeless clients.Hours: 37.5 per weekShifts: Mix of 8-4, occasional 10-6 and 2-10 with 1 in 4 weekends workingRate: £16 per hour umbrella inclusive of your holiday pay
Location: Hatfield (with requirement to travel occasionally to different sites) Length of contract: Temporary with a potential for permanent workSupported Housing Officer – The role involves:· Manage a case load of young people within the supported living environment· Deliver emotional and life skills based support, assisting service users with day to day tasks· Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users· Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears· Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting· Carry out regular estate inspections· Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements· Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies · Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times including carrying out viewings and sign-ups
