Job Title: Business and Finance Support Officer
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for a Business and Finance Support Officer to coordinate processes providing a range of administrative and financial duties supporting the delivery of services within the Suffolk Resilience Forum, hosted by Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service.
Location: Ipswich, with at least 3 days in the office per week.
Duration: Temporary position until 22nd August.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and maintain an adequate financial record-keeping system.
2. Research old data and input into the new system.
3. Contribute to ongoing projects and provide administrative support, including taking minutes, actions, and report writing.
4. Support general administrative duties as required.
Candidate Requirements:
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial, statistical, and administrative record-keeping.
* Good note-taking or minute-taking skills.
* Excellent organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Ability to commute between sites in Ipswich and Police HQ; driving and owning a vehicle is preferred but not essential, as public transport options are available.
While full-time hours (37 hours per week) are preferred, part-time candidates are also encouraged to apply.
