The role: The S enior PHP Developer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing various services and third-party integrations, functioning as a full-stack developer with expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. Lead meetings, and define and plan work items for the team. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience collaborating effectively within a team environment, demonstrating both individual accountability and appreciation for collective input. Hands-on experience in developing and delivering enterprise-level software solutions. Skills and Competencies: Commercial experience with Object-Oriented PHP and modern best practices. Experience using Laravel for back-end development and API design. Experience of using front-end frameworks such as React and Vite, as well using Blade templates. Experience of working in highly scalable, high performance platforms, ideally in financial trading or fintech (Iress, CQG, MT4/MT5 experience a plus). Experience of both relational and document DBs. Experience with Docker and deployments to Kubernetes / AWS EKS. Experience of using services provided by AWS. Knowledge of cloud native CI/CD pipelines. Strong awareness of micro services and event based architecture. Familiar with LEAN product development. Good attention to detail.
