We are seeking a Locum Educational Psychologist to join the vibrant borough of Tower Hamlets. Purpose of the Role As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will provide high-quality assessment, consultation, intervention, and training services. Your work will help inform statutory processes such as Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and support schools and families to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments addressing cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
Analyse assessment data to produce recommendations, reports, and feedback for families, schools, and statutory processes including EHCPs.
Develop and implement interventions tailored to the individual needs of children and young people.
Consult with school staff and multi-agency teams to enhance inclusive practice and learning strategies.
Deliver engaging training sessions for educators, parents, and other professionals.
Stay updated with research and contribute to policy and service development.
Maintain professional standards, documentation, and participate in ongoing professional development.
Person Specification Doctorate or Masters degree in Educational Psychology.
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
Experience in assessment, consultation, and intervention is essential.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Previous experience in multi-agency working and knowledge of SEN/EHCP frameworks is desirable.
