Senior Project Engineer - IRM at DeepOcean
We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer - IRM to join our expanding UK team on a permanent staff basis, located in our Aberdeen office.
ROLE
* Ensure that all engineering meets the requirements of all appropriate codes, regulations and standards.
* Provide technical input to IRM tenders.
* Liaise with Project/Tender/Technical Manager and/or Lead Engineer on deviations to engineering and contractual principles.
* Deliver IRM documentation on time to satisfy client and project requirements.
* Develop optimal technical solutions around available DeepOcean assets in response to client scopes.
* Participate in offshore execution as required (estimated 60 days per year).
KEY TASKS
* Perform engineering tasks according to the Engineering Procedure and in a safe and accurate manner.
* Coordinate with associated departments in the preparation of IRM campaigns such as procurement, survey, draughting, etc.
* Delivery of commercially and technically optimised solutions that are aligned with the client and company expectations.
* Participate in offshore delivery as part of the IRM operations team.
* Assist in planning and execution of marine operations.
* Oversee and coordinate the design/fabrication of tools/structures.
* Ensure clients receive timely documentation and progress updates.
* Develop and seek to improve procedures and project documentation.
* Liaise with HSEQS to ensure all project/tender specific HSEQS requirements are met.
* Provide oversight and guidance to the junior engineers within the team.

* Provide technical guidance to junior engineers to increase overall knowledge in the engineering department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Higher Education Degree/Master/Bachelor (or equivalent) in relevant engineering or science subject.
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar IRM related role.
* Experience of shallow water ROV IRM operations is desirable.
* Experience with subsea IRM planning and operations is essential.
* Sound understanding of ROV tooling and experience in the coordination of tooling modification to meet project specific requirements is essential.
* Commitment to professional development and membership to an Engineering Institution is preferable.
* Offshore experience is essential.
