Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen
Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is vital
in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient
kitchen environment. The ideal candidate must be available to work weekends,
public holidays, and festive periods including Christmas and New Year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist
with basic food preparation and cooking tasks as directed by chefs
* Wash,
peel, and chop vegetables and other ingredients
* Clean
kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
* Maintain
hygiene and safety standards at all times
* Receive
and store food deliveries appropriately
* Dispose
of kitchen waste and operate the dishwasher
* Assist
in setting up and closing down the kitchen each day
* Support
chefs and front-of-house staff as needed
Requirements:
* Previous
experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred but not
essential
* Willingness
to work flexible shifts including weekends, public holidays, Christmas,
and New Year
* Good
understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
* Ability
to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
* Physically
fit and able to stand for long periods
* A
team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Work Schedule:
* Full-time
position (typically 30-48 hours per week)
* Must
be available for rotating shifts, including:
* Public
holidays (including Christmas Day and New Year's Day)
