Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Registered and/or Accredited Band 5, 6 or 7 Counsellor to join the West Dorset Team.
All successful candidates will be expected to train or be qualified in one of the following NICE Approved Counselling modalities: Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE CfD) or Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD).
Band 5: minimum recognised Diploma in Counselling, be Registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and be working towards Accreditation.
Band 6: Accreditation status with an appropriate Professional governing Body e.g. BACP/BPC/UKCP and in training in a NICE approved modality.
Band 7: Accreditation status and qualification and current practice in one of the NICE approved modalities: PCE CfD, DIT, IPT, CTfD.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Counselling via Face to Face appointments, digital and telephone platforms including home visits, working with interpreters. Provide short-term time limited treatment. Facilitate groups online or in person. Excellent administration, IT and communication skills required. Work as part of a team, flexible, including one evening per week.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered or Accredited as Band 5, 6 or 7 Counsellor.
* Recognised Diploma in Counselling for Band 5.
* Accreditation status with BACP/BPC/UKCP for Band 6.
* Accreditation status and qualification for Band 7.
* Experience in NICE approved modalities as listed.
* Excellent IT and communication skills.
