Policy, Strategy and Partnerships Officer
Location: Hybrid working
Rate: £300 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Contract: 6 months
A local authority is looking for a Policy, Strategy and Partnerships Officer to support delivery of corporate policy, strategic partnerships and improvement activity.
You will work closely with senior leadership, Cabinet Members and external partners to help shape policy, drive strategic initiatives and support the organisation’s corporate improvement programme.
Key responsibilities
* Support development of corporate policies, strategies and plans
* Provide policy and project support to senior leadership and Cabinet
* Draft high quality briefing papers, reports and presentations
* Support and coordinate strategic partnerships linked to community priorities
* Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners
* Identify improvements and support organisational and cultural change
What they need
* Experience in policy, strategy or partnerships within local government or public sector
* Experience working with senior stakeholders and elected members
* Strong report writing and briefing experience
* Experience supporting or delivering projects or programmes
* Good understanding of local government priorities and partnership working

* Strong communication and stakeholder management
* Analytical and problem solving ability
* Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Confident presenting complex information clearly
Rates depend on experience and client requirements.
