MEM Wellingborough is recruiting a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team(s) based in Brackmills, Northampton, Northamptonshire. Duties Include Lead day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure customer demand is met and business targets are achieved. Train, coach, and develop warehouse operatives to maintain high performance standards. Maintain accurate stock control, including inventory management and regular stock checks. Ensure all warehouse systems and records are kept up to date and accurate. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Proactively resolve operational issues to minimise disruption. Produce regular reports and performance data as required. Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including manual handling procedures. Maintain warehouse security and a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Manage team attendance, including absence monitoring and performance support. Clearly communicate daily priorities, targets, and operational updates to the team. Monitor team performance, conduct return-to-work meetings, and support employee wellbeing. Support and participate in disciplinary and grievance procedures where necessary. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure smooth operations. Provide cover for management duties during periods of absence or leave. The Ideal Candidate- Proven experience in a Warehouse Team Leader (or similar) role, with the ability to motivate, guide, and support a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident and approachable leadership style. Comfortable using IT systems, including spreadsheets, databases, and warehouse management systems. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with data and numbers accurately. Good understanding of health, safety, and security standards within a warehouse environment. A proactive mindset, with the ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvement. Awareness of customer requirements and experience with lean or efficiency-focused processes is an advantage. Relevant qualifications (such as NVQ Level 2, supervisory training, or Dangerous Goods Handling) are desirable but not essential.
