Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our EMEA Network Engineering Proxy Services Team. This role focuses on designing, engineering, and implementing complex technical solutions that align with business strategies, architectural governance, standards, and policies. You will be responsible for deploying and configuring solutions across the EMEA network infrastructure to support secure, resilient, and high-performing network operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Elicit, analyze, and document technical application and service requirements.
* Collaborate with multiple technical teams to identify end-to-end solutions balancing business, security, availability, and resiliency requirements.
* Design and document technical solutions using standard design patterns and best practices.
* Configure devices and deploy new services into production.
* Participate in prioritization and scheduling of implementation activities.
* Manage stakeholder requirements and expectations.
* Actively participate in the Change Management process.
* Troubleshoot existing and new implementations to resolve issues and improve services.
* Identify and manage mitigation of operational risks.
* Ensure documentation is updated and handed over to Operations successfully.
Required Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience as a Network Security Engineer.
* Hands‑on experience with Bluecoat Proxy SG (Symantec) and/or McAfee Web Gateway (Trellix SkyHigh).
* Experience with SSL traffic decryption and inspection (On-Proxy or 3rd Party: F5 SSLO, Radware Alteon).
* Ability to build and configure network proxies to standard specifications.
* Experience creating and using automation scripts.
* Strong DMZ architecture and engineering knowledge.
* In-depth understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
* Working knowledge of DNS.
* Excellent communication and technical analytical skills.
* Strong network security and compliance experience.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
* Strong client focus.
