Digital Trainer and Test Analyst - Band 5
To undertake IT training needs analysis in support of training required in projects by:
* Establishing benchmarks for the training against which people's competencies will be assessed (e.g., researching the results of other similar projects).
* Participating in the development and testing of assessment tools.
* Ensuring that trainees attending courses meet pre-requisite skill levels to undertake the course successfully.
Responsible for delivering technology-based training programmes for clinical and non-clinical systems across ULHT and the health community, and regularly reviewing and updating existing training programmes for all systems, in coordination with ULHT and departmental policies.
To establish and utilize the most appropriate method of delivery for all staff levels, including executive levels, such as:
* One-to-one training sessions.
* Classroom and workplace-based group sessions (presentations and hands-on).
* Webinar-based training.
* E-learning (design and development).
To undertake the role of module lead or site-based lead for existing clinical or non-clinical systems, ensuring that:
* Any new software releases are assessed for training implications.
* Manuals/materials are updated to reflect changes.
* Contributions are made to internal and external meetings, providing constructive input to project teams.
To act as lead trainer during the implementation of new software on a health community-wide rollout basis, involving:
* Representing the IT training department at project meetings.
* Working with other business units and participating in working groups.
* Coordinating train-the-trainer courses for system understanding.
* Ensuring course plans/materials are prepared for effective training delivery.
To test, trial, and learn new software (clinical and non-clinical) to understand functionality and meet ULHT needs, and communicate concerns or suggestions to project managers or team leads.
To develop structured end-user training courses based on in-depth knowledge of new software, and design appropriate training materials and techniques, including exploring innovative training delivery methods to address future challenges and increasing demands.
