Permanent position for a Youth and Community Engagement Officer working 22.5 hours per week. Salary £17,390 (actual pro rated).

About The Role
You’ll work in our friendly community café, supporting volunteers to provide a warm, safe, and inclusive space for young people and local residents. You’ll also help plan and deliver our youth club sessions and community activities — everything from art workshops and games nights to social action projects and fundraising events. This is a hands-on role that blends café coordination, youth engagement, and community development. No two days are the same, and your work will make a real difference in young people’s lives.
Responsibilities
* Work in the community café with volunteers to provide a warm, safe, and inclusive space for young people and local residents.
* Plan and deliver youth club sessions and community activities (art workshops, games nights, social action projects, fundraising events).
* Coordinate cafe operations and support youth engagement and community development.
About You / Qualifications
* Enjoys working with young people and has a genuine interest in their wellbeing and development.
* Can motivate and support volunteers from all walks of life.
* Has experience in a café, youth work, or community setting.
* Is friendly, organized, and able to juggle different tasks with a smile.
* Can bring creativity and enthusiasm to help our café and youth activities thrive.
* Flexible, reliable, and happy to work some evenings and weekends for youth sessions and community events.
