Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, requires an experienced person to undertake Grounds Maintenance duties within the borough.
Well maintained open spaces and residential areas are important to the council and residents, and you will help to ensure that our grounds maintenance services continue to meet expectations.
If you have previous experience in grounds maintenance roles, enjoy working outside, take pride in your work and have an eye for detail, this could be the job for you.
The right candidate will also be reliable, have a 'can do' attitude and a commitment to working safely.
Responsibilities
Working as an individual as well as part of a team, you will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of grounds maintenance tasks which include:
* Grass cutting
* Formal and informal Shrub bed maintenance.
* Hedge cutting
* Weed management
* Operating, maintaining and cleaning grounds maintenance and horticultural equipment, including hand tools, strimmers, hedge-cutters, pedestrian and ride on mowers, and any other machinery required to undertake allocated tasks.
* Compliance with safety and all relevant legislation, in particular the control of Vibration at Works Regulations 2005 and PUWER Regulations 1998.
A full clean driving license is required for this role, along with the skills and ability to communicate at different levels.
