Year 2 Teacher – Full Time Position
Location: Preston (PR1)Start Date: September 2026Daily Rate: £120–£150
About the Role
A welcoming primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is confident delivering the KS1 curriculum and supporting pupils through the key transition into more formal learning.
Role Responsibilities
* Teach and manage a Year 2 class full time
* Deliver well-structured lessons that promote progress across all core areas
* Prepare pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments
* Monitor, track, and report on pupil progress
* Work collaboratively with the KS1 team to ensure a consistent teaching approach
Candidate Requirements
* Experience teaching KS1 (Year 2 experience desirable but not essential)
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for KS1
* QTS required – ECTs and fully qualified teachers encouraged to apply
* A calm, organised, and supportive teaching style
* Commitment to providing a positive learning environment
