Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to work in a secondary school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-resourced department and inspire students through creative, practical learning — with a particular focus on Construction.
We are especially keen to hear from teachers who have experience delivering Construction or Built Environment pathways, including hands-on workshop-based teaching.
The Role:
* Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Deliver Construction-focused units (Level 1/2 Construction, Wood Technology, or related qualifications desirable)
* Plan engaging practical lessons in workshop environments
* Support students in developing technical, problem-solving and employability skills
* Maintain high standards of safety and classroom behaviour
* Contribute positively to the wider department and school ethos
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching D&T in a secondary setting
* Have strong practical knowledge of Construction / Wood / Resistant Materials
* Be confident managing workshop tools and health & safety procedures
* Be passionate about vocational and hands-on learning
* Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
* Be adaptable, reliable and committed to student progress
