Protocol Education are working with a specialist SEN school in Billericay who are seeking a resilient and compassionate Pastoral Support Assistant to join their team.
This role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional needs such as ASD and MLD. You will play a key role in helping students regulate behaviour, build trust, and re-engage with learning.
The Role
* Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
* Long-term opportunity with temp-to-perm potential
* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
* Providing emotional support and promoting positive coping strategies
* Supporting students both in and out of the classroom

* Behaviour support / SEMH settings
* Youth work
* Residential or social care
* Support work or outreach roles
* Sports coaching or mentoring backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
