Based in a remote area of Essex, this independent school offers fantastic state of the art facilities for staff and students. The school is looking for a dynamic Head of Science to join an established department of 5 teachers, who can lead, support and mentor other members of staff. As a Head of Science, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Science curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and promoting a culture of high expectation and continuous professional development. This is a permanent Head of Science position, starting in January 2026. Applicants must have valid UK QTS and at least 3 years teaching experience is desirable. Requirements The desired Head of Science will be able to; Lead, manage, and support the Science department, ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning. Develop, review, and improve the Science curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of students and aligns with school goals. Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff, and support the pastoral needs of students. Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring targets are met and all students are supported to achieve their full potential.
