Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Reception (Visual Impairment & Medical Needs)

Hours: Full-Time, 8:30am 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Salary: Negotiable (Dependent on Experience)
Job Description:
The successful candidate will support a child with a visual impairment, who also requires assistance with a feeding tube and some personal care. This role is suited to someone with a caring nature, strong SEN experienceparticularly with visual impairmentsand the confidence to handle medical and personal care needs in a nurturing, professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 support for a visually impaired child in Reception
* Assist with orientation, mobility, and classroom access
* Deliver tailored learning support and resources
* Manage medical needs including feeding via tube (training may be provided)
* Assist with personal care tasks
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists
Essential Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with visual impairments
* Confidence with medical and personal care needs
* A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
To be eligible for any job with Prospero Teaching, you must:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years.
