We're on the lookout for a hands-on, Quality Inspector (Mechanical) to join a high-performance manufacturing team. This role is all about inspecting mechanical parts, like machined components, copper busbars, wires, and seals, before they reach our world-class clients across automotive, motorsport, marine, and aerospace sectors. The Quality Inspector (Mechanical) will: * Perform in-process and final inspections using metrology tools (e.g. gauges, calipers, micrometers, multimeters) * Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols to assess part compliance. * Inspect for surface quality, dimensional accuracy, and visual defects. * Log and escalate non-conformances; assist with root cause investigations (8D, 5-Why) * Support incoming goods inspections and basic supplier quality checks. * Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability documentation is complete. The Quality Inspector (Mechanical) will have: * Apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical inspection. * Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality role within automotive, aerospace, or similar industries. * Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality standards. * Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. * Proficient in the use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, CMM (desirable), and depth, thread, height & vernier gauges. * Experience & understanding of reading and interpreting technical drawings for components & assemblies, GD&T symbols, and inspection plans.
