We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. AZ general stores is a shop as well as a post office, so it does get busy sometimes. Anyone who is applying must have the ability to have excellent customer service abilities even during peak times. This job requires you to stock shelves, checking expiration dates, while also taking care of the till. Duties
* Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
* Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising techniques.
* Process transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring a positive checkout experience.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of service.
* Keep track of inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves as necessary.
Skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
* Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers effectively.
* Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
* Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively.
* A positive attitude towards upselling while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
