The Role
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our team. This is a key role supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, managing credit control, and assisting in the preparation of management reports.

Key Responsibilities
* · Process daily sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
* · Reconcile bank statements, supplier ledgers, and customer accounts.
* · Manage credit control: monitor customer credit limits, track overdue accounts, and follow up on outstanding payments.
* · Maintain accurate Aged Debtors' reports.
* · Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
* · Support preparation of management reports and statutory submissions.
* · Monitor LPG stock movements, cylinder returns, and related cost tracking.
* · Ensure compliance with VAT, excise duty, and industry-specific regulations.
* · Liaise with sales, logistics, and plant operations for accurate financial data.
About You
* · AAT qualified, part-qualified accountant, or relevant experience in finance.
* · 1–3 years' accounting experience (LPG, oil & gas, or manufacturing desirable).
* · Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
* · Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
* · Confident communicator with a proactive approach to credit control.
