We’re looking for a credible, curious and dependable Interim Payroll Analyst to join our friendly, close‑knit payroll team for 6–9 months. This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail, meeting deadlines and resolving queries properly really count.
You’ll support the end‑to‑end payroll process, working closely with colleagues to ensure accuracy, consistency and trust.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting monthly end‑to‑end payroll processing, including starters, leavers, time and attendance data and payroll changes
* Accurately checking, entering and validating payroll data
* Responding to payroll queries clearly, calmly and empathetically
* Investigating discrepancies and low‑level issues, escalating where appropriate
* Working within established payroll processes while flagging anything that doesn’t look quite right
* Liaising with HR and Finance colleagues to help resolve issues and maintain accurate records
* Handling sensitive employee data with care, confidentiality and professionalism
We’re Looking For Someone Who
* Has experience in payroll administration or a payroll analyst/support role
* Is highly detail‑focused, organised and methodical
* Takes deadlines seriously and sees tasks through to completion
* Is naturally curious – you notice inconsistencies and investigate gently
* Can resolve queries confidently and professionally
* Is comfortable working within processes, without being overly rigid
* Has clear professional communication – written and verbal
* Understands the real‑world impact of payroll accuracy on people’s lives
* Enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative team
